Year-on-Year and Month-on-Month Performance
In July 2026, the price of dehydrated garlic flakes showed a year-on-year decline alongside a slight month-on-month increase. By late July, the average price of washed hybrid garlic flakes was approximately 13,535 yuan/ton-down 17.73% year-on-year but up 1.91% month-on-month-with current prices approaching historical lows. Compared to the same period in 2024 (when the annual average price for hybrid garlic flakes was 18,655 yuan/ton), prices in 2026 have fallen significantly.

Price Correlation Patterns
Dehydrated garlic prices are highly correlated with the price of fresh garlic raw materials. Between 2018 and 2024, the correlation coefficient reached 0.85, characterized by "fluctuation in the same direction with amplified magnitude": when raw material prices rose, the increase in finished product prices was magnified; conversely, when raw material prices fell, the decline in finished product prices also deepened. In January and February 2025, driven by rising fresh garlic prices, the average price of dehydrated garlic flakes hit 20,257 yuan/ton, marking a cyclical high for recent years.

Outlook
August marks the seasonal off-season for demand, with downstream purchasing activity gradually slowing down. Consequently, dehydrated garlic prices are likely to see a slight pullback; industry forecasts place the average monthly price for washed hybrid garlic flakes in August at approximately 13,250 yuan/ton, a month-on-month decline of about 2.16%.

Current market quotes vary significantly across different dehydrated garlic categories: the reference price is around 420 yuan for purple-skin dehydrated garlic and approximately 23 yuan for bulk dehydrated garlic, while vacuum-packed products can reach 14,100 yuan. Buyers can select products based on their specific needs.
