Conditions for consumption
Provided that the container and water used during the rehydration process are clean, and the garlic cloves show no signs of mold, off-odors, or spoilage, they can be eaten raw. They retain active compounds like allicin, making their nutritional profile and effects essentially the same as fresh raw garlic

Precautions

  • Limit intake; consuming 1–3 cloves per day is recommended. Excessive consumption can irritate the gastrointestinal mucosa, leading to discomfort such as heartburn or abdominal pain.
  • Individuals with gastrointestinal ulcers, gastroesophageal reflux, mouth ulcers, or inflamed gums are advised against eating them raw, as the pungent compounds may aggravate mucosal irritation.
  • Consumption is strictly prohibited for those allergic to garlic to prevent allergic reactions such as skin rashes or breathing difficulties.
  • Avoid eating large amounts on an empty stomach; consuming them alongside a meal can help reduce irritation to the digestive tract.
